Hi everyone and welcome to FOMS – Friends of Mengham Junior School.
FOMS is a PTA set up by parents/carers of children in Mengham Junior School. If you’re a parent/grandparent or carer of a child at the school, you are more then welcome to be a member. The aim of the group is to enhance your child’s time whilst at school and it is your opportunity to get involved with your children and their school while raising money at the same time.
The ‘Friends’ aim to work with the school in organising some fun activities and also to raise funds for those additional extras that make your child’s time at the school extra special.
In 2022, we helped and participated in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we helped with the year 3 Macmillan Coffee Morning, selling refreshments at the annual sports day. We also supported the Carols by Candlelight at Christmas. In addition, we have helped the school to run a Christmas design session – designs were then turned into items such as cards, mugs and tea towels for families to purchase and more. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions on fund raising and having fun!
Money raised in the past has gone towards trips and events for children, gifts for year six leavers and the trim trail. Money is also used to support learning and development and so much more…
We are an ever-growing school and we ALWAYS need more people and would welcome and love to see anyone feeling like they might have some time to help. There is no pressure to attend every meeting or help at every event, in fact the more people that can help the less time we would all need to donate!
