Year 5 Northney Farm Trip

12th July 2019

Dear Parents and Carers

Year 5 Northney Farm Trip

We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to visit Northney Farm on Friday 12th July

Year 5 geography topic this term is Trade Links and Distribution of Natural Resources starting locally then looking globally.  During the day, the pupils will see how they use their farm to sustain their Ice cream business and as a part of this, they will visit the milking parlour and see the ice cream being made.

The pupils will be transported to Northney Farm by school minibuses.

Beech class will be leaving at 9.00 and returning in time for lunch.
Alder class will be leaving at 12.40 and will return to follow their normal home time routine.

Your child will need to wear their school uniform and sensible shoes.

Entrance to Northney Farm is free but we need to cover the cost of transportation and the farm has asked for a £1 contribution towards the cost of the ice cream that each child will be given during the day.  The total cost of the trip will be £1.50 cash.

Please complete and return the attached slip together with your donation, in a sealed envelope marked ‘Farm Trip’ to the School Office before Wednesday 26th June

Yours sincerely,

Miss R Richards and Miss N Farrage
