Year 4 Billy Trail Trip
18th June 2019
Year 4 Billy Trail Visit
We are delighted to inform you that as part of Year 4’s local history unit of learning, we have arranged two half day visits on Tuesday 18th June to the Billy Trail to study how our environment changes over time.
Birch Class will be visiting during the morning and Oak Class will be visiting during the afternoon. As the children will be out at breaktime, you may want to send them in with a piece of fruit to take on the trip as they will not be able to buy a snack from the kitchen.
The pupils will be transported by school minibuses. You will be pleased to know that there is no charge for this trip and as it is a local trip, the offsite permission form you signed when your child started with us means that no reply slip is needed.
Your child will be required to wear normal school uniform and appropriate footwear suitable for walking and to bring a coat if it’s raining. If it is hot, please ensure your child has some form of hat to protect them from the sun and sun cream if you wish them to wear it. Please send the sun cream into school named and in a plastic bag, but members of staff will not apply it to the children’s skin. Also, as some children are allergic to sun cream, please do not encourage your child to share it with someone else.
We are sure that it will be lovely to be learning outside on our lovely island and we are looking forward to it.
